Texture

A Texture resource is a collection of settings that directly communicate with one of several rendering systems that are found in Vectorworks.

Rendering is the process that converts 3D Wireframe geometry into solid-looking objects. The appearance of the solid object depends solely or in part on the information contained in the Texture that has been applied to the object.

Vectorworks Texture resources are called Renderworks Textures and are accessible from the Resource Manager. Renderworks is the main render engine inside Vectorworks and all the settings of these Textures are designed to interact completely with it. There are other rendering systems in the program as well. These include Shaded and Redshift. These rendering systems will render some but not all of the settings within the Renderworks Texture.
