Projection Commands

Projection is the view that you see of the geometry you have created. There are three main types of projection that you can use.

Projection Types

All CAD software allows the user to view the 2D and 3D geometry using a variety of different drafting conventions.

Renderworks Backgrounds

Unless the 3D model that you create is entirely enclosed by 3D Geometry, then the blank area of any 3D view will need to be filled with a Background.

Rendering Types

A range of technical, photorealistic, and stylized Rendering types are available.

Rotate 3D View command

The purpose of this command is to help you orientate the view inside the Drawing Window by a precise amount.

Create Viewport command

This Menu Command will take you through the steps to creating viewports on either Sheet Layers or Design Layers.

Symbols – Levels of Detail

Sometimes, symbols that you’ve created will have a level of detailing in their geometry that is not always necessary for your needs.

A crucial feature of any Viewport is the ability to be highly specific about when and how geometry is presented.
