Before introducing the various Tools and Commands that will help you create most of the geometry you will ever need to model, it is worth familiarising yourself with the various ways you can navigate and control the 3D environment in which you will work.
The program has some important tools you need to use to manage the 3D environment you're working in.
To draw anything in 3D, it is best to familiarise oneself with the concept of Drawing Planes. These will give you absolute control over the location of geometry that you create.
Once it is clear how to navigate around the 3D modeling environment, it is then worth starting by creating some Basic Shape objects using these three methods to develop the shapes into meaningful 3D objects.
The Basic Shapes that are found in the Basic Tool Palette will in most cases be the starting off point for most objects that are created in a drawing.
Once you have made some 3D objects using the 3D Modeling commands, it is worth experimenting with these Solid Modeling Commands. These will give you the ability to add to, remove from, and cut objects up which will further develop your modeling skills.
This toolset consists of several types of tools:
There are tools to help navigate around the 3D Modeling environment, tools to help with the creation of new objects and tools to help you edit and develop the geometry that has already been created.
